Ramon L. Gil

Mr. Ramon L. Gil, age 73, of Lawrence, died on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Maria (Paulino) Gil, with whom he shared 53 years of marriage.

Born in Santiago, Dominican Republic, he was the son of the late Juan & Ana (Cruz) Gil. Ramon worked for many years as a factory worker at several manufacturing companies. He enjoyed playing dominoes and was a faithful Yankees fan, even though his children were Red Sox fans. Most of all he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Ramon is survived by 5 children, Ramon Gil, Jr. & his wife Aleida, Angelica Gil & her husband Roger Brito, Yesenia Gil & her husband Nestor De Jesus, Jr., Jeffrey Gil & his wife Yesenia and Rosemary Gil; 12 grandchildren, Nicholas Flores, Aran Flores, Jacob Ayala, Jensy Tapia, Kayleigh Gil, Anny Gil, Yazmin Gil, Anthony Gil, Julien Brito, Jenalise Gil, Jianni Gil and Amelia Walters; 4 great grandchildren, Adrianna Serino, Aleeyah Flores, Phoenix Flores and Ruby Flores; 3 siblings, Francisco Gil, Alexis Gil and Thomas Gil. He was also survived by many nieces & nephews. Ramon was predeceased by his brother, Fermin Gil.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend visitation at the Diaz-Healy Funeral Home, 107 S. Broadway, Lawrence on Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 8:30 - 930 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 300 Haverhill & Hampshire Streets, Lawrence at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in Lawrence.
