Adelaida Santiago Obituary

Mrs. Adelaida (Diaz Ramos) Santiago, age 93, of Lawrence, died on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at the Lawrence General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Manuel “Alegre” Santiago.

Born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Sabino Diaz & Adela Ramos. A devoted homemaker for many years, she loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed reading the Bible, sewing, bird watching, singing and attending church services. She was a lifelong member of the Spanish Assemblies of God Church in Lawrence.

Adelaida is survived by four children, Ismael Santiago, Jose Luis “Cuchi” Santiago, Maria “Maggie” Perez, & Sara “Sary” Santiago; 31 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and her brothers & sisters in Christ at the Assemblies of God Church. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by three children, Hector “Tato” Santiago, Raul “Cusy” Santiago, & Daniel Santiago.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Spanish Assemblies of God Church, 14 Vine Street, Lawrence on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 4 - 7 p.m. On Friday, April 22, 2022, Adelaida’s funeral will be held at the church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence.
